The truth about get paid to surf programs: which companies are the best?

The Companies:

For the most part, I've described AllAdvantage.com. But with the success of this company, it is no surprise that there would be many others fighting for the piece of the business. At last count, I found over 30 "get paid to" companies. Some of them are well funded and well run, just like AllAdvantage. Some are just underfunded start-ups trying to get lucky. I've checked out a number of them and these are the companies I find that are the best. Here's the criteria I used to determine which are hot and which are not:

Criteria:

1.

The viewbar or software needed is available now, as soon as you sign up. This means you can start getting paid now and start getting paid for the users that you refer. The majority of "paid to surf" companies are just taking names and aren't paying. I only promote companies that are mature enough and have adequate funding to pay now, not 6 months from now.

2. The programs I choose are compatible, meaning you can use more than one at the same time. This is important because each company on its own doesn't pay much. But combined, the companies can pay enough to pay for a high-bandwidth internet connection (DSL or Cable modem). I have friends who save the money for a new computer, one uses his monthly pay to finance a lease on a new computer.

3. The programs pay you for referrals. This is how your earnings really multiply as you get a % of your referrals revenues. This is a perfectly legal and logical business building strategy, not to be confused with a "Pyramid" or "Ponzi" scheme. In illegal Pyramid or Ponzi schemes there is a initiation or membership fee for the new members that is paid to the old members. All the programs I have chosen are FREE! You don't pay a cent.

4. The programs are multinational meaning you can join and make money no matter what nationalality you are.

The programs:

AllAdvantage
The company you've heard so much about, currently over 4 million users and growing daily. AllAdvantage works with the viewbar concept. Pays $0.50 an hour for up to 25 hours a month plus 4-levels of referrals. Well financed, well respected company. If you join only one company, this should be it!

GetPaid4
This is a very new company, still in Beta testing as of December 1999 which means it is a good opportunity to get started with referrals before this program signs-up millions of people. GetPaid4 is a new company, however their parent company is Advertising.com (formally Teknosurf.com), a seasoned Internet advertiser. In the Fall of 1999, Teknosurf secured $10 million in venture capital and announced it was bringing in over $1 million a month in ad revenue. Pays about $0.50 an hour for up to 75 hours a month and 7 levels of referrals. You don't have to be actively surfing the web, just connected with their viewbar running. So you get paid to work with spreadsheets, word processors or even playing games. GetPaid4's viewbar can be used at the same time as AllAdvantage, so you get paid twice for the same time. Ignifuge:
Ignifuge is another new company, but it doesn't pay you to surf. It pays you to have them as your start-up page (the page you see when you open your browser). From this page you have an ad or two on it, but you also have access to multiple search engines and news services. Also pays for referrals and works right along with both AllAdvantage and GetPaid4 (now you're getting paid three times!).

TheMail.com
Just when you thought you had heard it all, there is a company that pays you to user their e-mail service. This isn't a "get paid to read junk mail" program, its actually your e-mail. Just like Hotmail, you log into their site to read your e-mail. They have banners on the page and when you e-mail someone from this site, it has a small line or two attatched to it that invites other users to join. The pay is tiny, but there are 16 levels of referrals. It'll take a LONG time before you start making any money with this one. But with some patience and vision, you may be rewarded a year or so down the road. I use it for my "junk" e-mail, where I have all the subscriptions from websites send me e-mail.
